Is it necessary to indicate the Heat# or Lot# on the plate (plate SA-240, AISI 316L) according to SA-480?

Actually i have following marking on plate: "AISI 316L 6x1500x6000".

As i understand, as per SA-480 'the name or mark of the manufacturer' shall be marked on plates. Is that mandatory requirement?

Tnks,
I have latest Edition of SA-480 (p. 25 didn't changing). My question is as per SA-480 'the name or mark of the manufacturer' shall be mandatory marked on plates?

Also, SA-480 says:
"The specification and designation number, and name
or mark of the manufacturer shall be marked on the piece(s) or attached to the item or bundle"

So, as i understand manufacturer can apply paint marking directly onto the plate OR onto a tag and affix it to the plate or bundle?

If the plate is only marked as being AISI, why are you looking for SA-240/SA-480 markings?
