I am interested in specific applications of plastic gearing materials and lubrication choices. In particular, applications with a lot of sliding such as crossed helical or worms. Material choices neat nylon, neat acetal, glass reinforced nylon and combinations of those materials. If anyone has some lubrication suggestions or would be willing to share successful material and lubricant combinations I will be most appreciative.

Mike,
We have standardized on synthetic PAO greases because of their superior VI and low temp performance. Also, oil separation is minimal. You may want to have more tackiness, depending on whether you want to dampen. I source from Aerospacelubricants.com, specialists who will work with you to meet your cost and performance needs.
