Hello,

I want to pipe the discharge from some steam traps to the bottom of a condenser that is maintained at about -27inHgA.

Since the condenser connection is only 10ft(net) higher than the trap, I believe the condenser vacuum will be able to pull the condensate from the trap without any resevoir/pump.

Does anyone see any potential problems in this arrangement, especially with respect to steam trap operation? Does the type of trap matter? The ones I'm working with are thermodynamic and bimetallic traps.

Thanks.
