Pipework assemblies streamlined

Hi All,

This is my first post on eng-tips so hello all! Looking at pipework assemblies, made up from various off-the-shelf components such as tee's and elbows etc. and connected by straight lengths, I am wondering whether anyone has any tips with working with the straight lengths? Other than extruding each section out to the desired length and then saving each length as a new part, is there another way of doing this?
As the assembly develops, there are more and more straight sections being introduced. I now have a folder that is filling up quickly with every imaginable length this straight section can be and I'm just thinking - surely there is a better way.

Hopefully someone can suggest a better way of doing this.

I think if you tried to use ContentCenter, it still would create a custom part for each unique length, right?
There are a few In-users here which can provide useful input, but the answers are (imo) found at Inventor's own forum.
If you don't succeed here, try that.
