Pipewelders !! Pipe Groove Weld Ring Backing ?

Greetings !

I'm looking for info on the existence of a consumable backing ring; that come in a variety of materials. The ring would be fitted inside the Pipe, becoming part of the joint when welded.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !
