hi all,

Does anyone know how we do pressure drop calculation high/low level in the pipeline for hydro test?

thanks.

Yes, but your question doesn't make sense. Please explain further.

Dear,

Attached herewith are the relevant drawings/documents for the pipeline. We request for the pressure drop calculation for the highest point, lowest point, and at the Test Manifold point (KM 106+803) in the attached pipeline Profile survey report.

Hope you understand the problem.

xnabra,

This is about as basic as you can get....

pressure in bar = m x SG x g / 100 or m x SG / 10.19

Your highest point seems to be 25.8m, lowest 1.35, trap elevation 5m.

I think you can do the maths from here on....

please clear me for the equation.

pressure at highest point = (5.8 x 5)/10.19 = 12.65 PSIG

pressure at low point = (1.35 x 5)/10.19 = 0.6224 PSIG

please explain about SG.

thanks.

SG = specific gravity.

So 1 for water.

Don't forget acceleration gravity, g, and check your units

THANKS.
