are there any web-based pipe stress calculations using excel out there?

i need to calculate a torque associated with a system growing due to thermal expansion and want something that will step me through the calculation methods.

BenThayer,
There are ROARK's Handbooks equations for stress and beams implemented in MathCad. If you have basic understanding of beams, and pipe geometry is simple, then that might serve your purposes. see for Mathcad12 ebooks.
If your piping geometry is more complex than a 2-D guided cantilever, or if the stresses and loads are close to any critical values, then it would justify using pipe analysis software to prevent problems and arrive at a good design.
The major pipe stress analysis software companies have their products available for evaluation. The demonstration versions might have limits of model size (20 nodes), pipe diameter (size 4"), or printer drivers removed. If your model size is small and you don't need to formally document your results, then you might consider trying one of the evaluation copies of software. You will need to spend some time learning to use whichever software you try.
And have a piping designer review your results.
For AutoPipe, in Plant design products
For CAESARII, pipe stress analysis
For CaePipe, For PipePlus, see Product Line, Pro PipePak
