Pipe Issue on Condenser water side 1

Dear All,

I am facing an issue with one of my client whcih is as under

i have installed a hotwater absorption chiller system of 380 usRT, which requires 2337 USGPM on condenser water side, i used 8 inch dia pipe line for the conection with main header, and this system is sync with existing system of 25 absorption chillers.
the hot water absorption chiller is not giving the required Delta Tempertaure which is 5 ( Tin: 12Degree Centigrade, T out : 5 Degree Centigrade)

Hot water supply for the chiller is proper i.e. 88 Degree C(In) to 68 Degree C(Out) maintining desired flow rate

The supplier is claiming that main issue is the size of the pipe i have used ie 8" dia , and saying that this is the root cause for chiller not working properly

I don't know if that is the cause of the problem, but 8" pipe is definitely marginal for 2337 USGPM. Your velocity is 15 FPS and your friction loss is almost 8 ft per 100 ft of pipe. I would have used 10" pipe. Can you get a flow measurement to see if you are really getting 2337 GPM? I would suspect that you aren't.
