Pipe Insulation Estimate- RIP OFF

Hi,
Does anyone out there have experience with estimating insulation for piping by linear feet. I have some very large 30" pipe for CW that needs to be replaced. The job is essentially 80% (2) large elbows and a valve. The company that has a contract to do the insulation is trying to charge me for the elbows and the linear footage through the elbow, essentially double charging. It wouldn't be a concern if the job was small pipe with long strainght runs. They have supplied me with a diagram (which is complete BS) of how to estimate using the total developed length + each fitting. I have't been able to find anything similiar or any rules for estimating such large piping. I would appreciate any help. Thanks,

We generally pay twice the linear length measurement of the elbow and omit it from the total pipe length as per IS and I believe they are derivatives of BS. Valves are calculated as per their size and flange box measurement is different too.
