Does anyone have ANY information about standards written for pinch points. I have a design and some conflicting standards about what is acceptable as far as pinch points are concerned. Can anyone help me out. Any and all information would be helpful.

Look on the ANSI online standards store ( for Pinch-Points as well as Nip-Points; I just saw them this afternoon.
If you are designing for use around laborers look into OSHA CFR 29 Parts 1900-End. [sig][/sig]

Look in the ANSI B15.1 standard for point of operation and nip point if you are working on general machirery
If you are working on a power press look in standard ANSI B11.1 for mechanical power press, in ANSI B11.2 for hydrailic press and B11.3 for power brake press. [sig]
Serge Massé
masse.serge@irsst.qc.ca
<a href=hiip://
[/sig]
