Hey everyone,
I'm currently working on a project where the site is a steep hill with weak rock strata. Therefore, we've decided to go for piled foundations that bear into a strong layer of rock (after a ground investigation to determine this exact depth).
Has anyone got any idea about what type of piles would be reasonable from a slope stability point of view as well as a construction point of view. It would be near impossible to get a massive pile rig up the side of the hill so are there any options that work for constructability you can mention. We are also considering slanted piles to help the stability.
Thanks
