Hi all,

I am looking for a piezoelectric tape type of sensor. Looking to measure vibrations across a longer area of a structure, not necessarily a localized point. When I say long, I mean 2ft max. Using 2 or 3 sensors is not really an option.

Any help or leads would be great.

Thanks,
OFB

Thanks Gunnar,

I am starting to find more info as I search, that site was a help too. I found to be helpful in piezo film type sensors. Seem reasonably priced as well.

Has anyone had experience using these type sensors??

No experience with piezo film sensors. Google on "Kynar piezo film" with and without the quotes.

Piezo bulk transducers require a charge preamplifier, which goes crazy if the sensor lead insulation resistance falls below ~10^14 ohms. I.e., Teflon insulation, baked dry occasionally, and whenever it gets wet.
