I work with indirect fire heaters in which SA106B piping is exposed to a steam bath. The ph level in the fliud which is a 50/50 mix of dowthernm and distilled water is rising. Does anybody know if the external coatings of SA106B piping contains any chemical that may cause this. It is the only part that is not sandblasted clean prior to final assembly.

Have you contacted Dow with your problem?

Which Dowtherm product are you using?
