Hello,
Can anyone please confirm (or provide reference materials) concerning the permissible (failure pressure/MOP) ratio of corroded pipe section for class location, 2, 3 and 4 by 49 CFR 192 (and ASME B31.8). This ratio basically dictates the need for repair criteria for corroded pipes.
Should the minimum (Failure Pressure/MOP) ratio be the reciprocal of the minimum Design Factor, 0.6 (Class 2), 0.5 (CLass 3) and 0.4 (Class 4) in § 192.111 of 49 CFR 192
