Pedal Power Transmission

I want to make a heavy duty transmission that can reduce bicycle (actually a supported unicycle)pedal power by 3:1, 6:1 or 12:1 and have a clutch to disengage the whole wheel. This drives a reqular trailer wheel. I need an engineer to help me make the basics and possbily create such a device. If this already exists, please advise. Photo of the prototype of the device is available on request.
