Has anyone taken the Passing Zone review course, for the civil, offered by PPI PASS.? Was the course worth the money?

I was thinking about signin up for this for the Oct.2006 exam.

I did not take that course. I will make several related statements:

1 I only passed the PE because of the review course I did take. So, I would say, SOME review course is mandatory.

2 I only used Lindberg's books - the CERM and the accompanying Quick Reference - for 90%+ of the test. So, I would say, anything PPI offers is probably very good.

3 I only used Lindberg's materials - bought through the website you refer to - for 90%+ of my exam prep. So, I would say, anything PPI offers is probably very good.

I am taking the Passing Zone. Some segments of the course are pretty good, some are a re-hash of the Six Minute Solutions books. The good part was that, at least initially, it kept me working problems, and working a variety of problems - maybe I worked a few that I would not have worked otherwise. Get the Six Minute Solutions books for your afternoon subjects if you can. Most of the PPI books are helpful.

Some of the tutors on Passing Zone are more helpful than others.

Many of the Passing Zone problems are long and involved. I would recommend that you take a "live" in person review course if possible. If there is not one nearby, then consider Passing Zone.
