Is anyone having problems with PDMworks crashing a session of SW? I am having problems getting a unhandled error if I try and even open the pdmworks flyout, (many times I may not even have a part or assy open) We are running SW2005 SP4.0, and PDMworks sp4.1. Problem presents itself in several ways,
1. Nothing open and I try and open the pdmworks file explorer, if it seems to hang I get a crash.

2. Try and check in a document drawing or models, try and open the file exploere, if it hangs, crash.

3. After I manage to check in a document the second doc I try and check in, try and open the file explorer, hangs and crashs.

We have rebooted the server, problem is some better (i.e. could not upload/download anything- now I can get a file in after one-two attempts)
Clean install of sw and pdmworks and sp's (deleted common data, cleaned registry entries etc.)

The VAR is stumped and so is SW we sent up meta data and SW found nothing.

What are your system specs? Is this your first SW version? If not, was it running OK on previous versions?
Check your network.

We were on 2004 for quite a long time with no problems, we upgraded recently to sw2005 with no problems initially, then about 2-3 weeks ago we saw this problem pop up, it affected each machine we had. We cannot pinpoint any changes that might have affected the system.

Try updating to the latest video card driver from SW site.

If rebooting the server improved things, it is more likely to be server/network related!
Do you have plenty of free space on your server? Does it need defragging?
Have you cleaned out your local temp folders & defragged your computer?

The first two things that come to my mind are:

1) Check your video card and driver, as ctopher said.

2) What other programs or processes are running at the same time as PDMWorks? Of all the people in our user base, there is only one user who crashes out of PDMWorks on a regular basis. Every time that happens, I notice that he had a web browser open with a Chinese font. As soon as he shuts down that web browser, PDMWorks runs fine.
