I have a pair of data acquisition cards (PCI – DAS4020/12) from Measurement Computing (now part of Adept Scientific). One of those cards fails to calibrate. The cards were purchased at different times. The older card is labelled “made in the U.S.A”. The newer one does not state any country of manufacture. It is the newer card which has failed. We are currently in discussions with the supplier. They have agreed to take it back for repair but they want to charge us for that. Given the small amount of usage which it has received my instinct tells me that there is a reliability issue with this batch of cards. Is anyone aware of any reliability issues (manufacturing or otherwise) associated with this newer batch of cards?

A sample size of one proves nothing. It's not even enough data to really justify being suspicious.

It's not likely that the few active members on this forum will provide supporting data.

But no harm in asking... :-)
