I have the part in the picture and I have to get the true position of the segments as indicated. Datum B is the top plane created across the segments and Datum C is indicated on the picture. I'm usually using the CMM to only compare to file and simple measurements, not familiar with GDT measurements using PC-DMIS. My thought for simplicity would be to probe 2 points along each wall of each segment to create geometry to find center of the segment and then calculate true position based on that center point. Not sure if this absolutely correct or not. Any input from experts in measuring like this would be greatly appreciated.

On the measurement side: if you post your question on CMMGUYS forum I think you will get a decent answer.
(if you already did, please ignore my post)

On the definition side: looks like this drawing is based on 1982 (IF assumed ASME) and datum feature C symbol and its applicable feature looks suspicious.
