Pattern using expressions

Hi,

Can any one tell me how to create pattern using expressions? Example i have to create holes using expressions.

I'm sorry, but your request is meaningless without more information as to exactly what it is that you're trying to do. Please provide at least a picture of what you're looking for. Also, what version of NX are you running?

To an Engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
 
You will need to create a hole first and use a rectangular array to create the others. All the values that are entered when the hole and pattern is created will be saved as expressions.
Insert-> associative copy->instnace feature ->rectangular array
 
Actaully, if you're running NX 8.0 you no longer have access to 'Instance Feature'. This has been replaced with...

Insert -> Associative Copy -> Pattern Feature...

...where you will find several different 'pattern' types including 'Rectangular'. Other than that, jerry1423 was correct in the procedure that he outlined for you to follow.

If you are doing a lot of these parts, take a look at the attached model. It allows you to describe the overall hole pattern in the sketch, the populates the points based a a minimum distance between holes. A max distance could also be used with modifications the the expressions.
