I'm trying to create a circular pattern of a rectangular slot, but the results aren't what I was expecting ... see image.

Save switching to a sketch, any ideas ?

Did you download the screen shot I uploaded?

Yes, you created the pattern the same as I did.

It appears the problem with my model is that the positioning dimension for the slot is to tangency.

I'm not sure what it is that you're trying to do. What is it about your various results that was not what you were expecting?

John,

Consider the lengths of the 3 patterned slots (from my first image), they're longer, or rather, they're positioned differently,

Sorry, I missed that detail [banghead]

Have you fixed the issue yet? Dimensioning to a tangency, when 'Patterning' the feature may be the issue, as you've already alluded to.

With that in mind, I've created an alternative using sketches only. To change the number of slots, simply edit the expression 'Number_of_Slots'.
