I have been attempting to make part similar to attached which I did by wrapping a sketch to a cylindrical surface, creating a single derived curve from wrapped sketch and finally sweeping a protrusion along curve.

Using ST6

Problem is sweep fails if I shange original sketch to add convolutions. "cannot sweep along specified path" I guess there may be incontinuities in new sketch but I cannot detect incorrect joining of lines and arcs. Only solution is to start sketch from scratch which is very tedious and time consuming.

Anybody know of better way to do this? Perhaps my sketching is not good.

Many thanks
