As per (5.1.5.9 (e)), for Self-Supporting Roofs FULFILLED conditions in 5.10.5 & 5.10.6 (Participating Area for Figure-F-2 selected detail ≥ (p D2 ÷ 8 Fa tanθ));
(1) On that case, is that mean, the Top Curb Angle IS NO LONGER REQUIRED?
(2) Participating Area (referred in 5.10.5 & 5.10.6) is the same as Design Effective Area (cross-hatched section) (referred in 5.1.5.9 (e)).
(3) Attachment (Angle) Participating Area calculated in 5.10.5 & 5.10.6 as shown in Figure F-2 (e.g; Detail “g”, Area = ta * (2Le + 2b – 2ta), where b is stiffened angle length), while Design Effective Provided Area in (5.1.5.9 (e)), calculated in conventional way (a + b – ta) * ta)? Am I wrong?
(4) ts (referred in Figure F-2) specified as thick of the thickened plate in the shell; is that mean the thicker of all shell courses & attachment?
(5) All above calculations made in CORRODED Condition?
(6) The Area Limitation referred in 5.10.2.6 (a)(6) is Design Effective Provided Area calculated in (5.1.5.9 (e)) if Curb Angle is used, while it should be Participating Area if Top W.G is used?
