Partially shaded view in Drafting

Hi,

Does anyone know if you can specifically select what components you want to shade with the 'partially shaded' option in drafting?

Thanks in advance.

Yes by using Edit Object Display in modeling & specifying the objects to be partially shaded.
Hopefully the image below explains.
