Hi,

I have a big assy. If I try to shade it, takes for ever.
I need to shade only some parts and keep the remaining as wireframe which helps in reducing the processing time for rotation, pan, zoom etc. IS this possible in Catia V5-R16

Thanks is advance.
Amit

Its not possible to have different shades. You can however choose to work in Cache(Visualization) mode to speed up things and just load the parts you need to work on.

strange... we found is was better to work with shading with no edge. no material.

I want to correct myself. Yes you can have different shades in Catia. I was exploring it more a bit. Use the Customize View and enable Rendering Style Per Object. :)

I agree with you.
