Would anybody please tell me what is the level of partial discharge one can tolerate for a machine of 1kV rating with a stator potted with epoxy resin .
I have carried out PD tests on my motor and I measured
a Dischatge Inception Voltage of 1074V and measured 100 pico-Coulombs for the PD discharges. In other words I don't know if 100picocoulombs is too high or if is acceptable.
Please Help. By the way are they any NEMA or BS standards regarding acceptable levels.

Thanks Regards

Karim
