I have set up part version filename rules for assemblies and it works well. The format is <part_number>-<revision>.prt. Pretty simple. I'd like to populate the drawing title block with this information. The NX docs describe how to do this using the master model method but my organization primarily embeds the drawings in the part file.

Anyone know how to get the PN and revision from the file name into the title block?

Right click the part in the Assembly navigator - Properties,
- Attributes tab
try see if you can find the name+ revision in some attribute there.

What NX version are you running ?
- The syntax for the note changed slightly in NX10 (?)

Thanks Tomas.

I'm using NX 10.

None of the system attributes show up as attributes in the Properties window. Here are the attribute definitions in the NX 10 docs: [link docs.plm.automation.siemens.com/tdoc/nx/10/nx_help#uid:drawing_drw_auto_text_ov]docs.plm.automation.siemens.com/tdoc/nx/10/nx_help#uid:drawing_drw_auto_text_ov[/url]

The "Sheet Revision" is not the revision I'm after. I'd like to access the part number and revision that are defined in the filename. If it's not possible then I'll just add a custom attributes but this is an extra step I'd like to avoid unless absolutely necessary.
