Part location control

If I have a part or an assy that I want to give 2 different locations in 2 different simplified reps what is the best way.


Due to to our production software (Vis View) and experience of probably not doing things the best practice way hereI am being told I can not use family tables as they will not translate.


My thought was to try to use to use 2 skeletons in an assembly "container" with a part or sub assy in it. Then use 2 simplified reps which each call a different skelton hence having one model to update with multiple locations.


Other methods are welcome this is a simple example but in reality I am trying to move multiple parts to multiple locations depending on the model number(simplified rep)

Thanks but that will not work in my case we have a program that compares SAP to Pro-E and Windchill and I can only have the correct number of parts I would need to move the part or assy.

you could use Mechanism and snapshots.
