Does anyone know of a more cost effective parking garage membrane, then Tremco Vulkem 345/346 and 350. Curently we are building an appartment with several parking levels and the cost of the membrane is almost as expensive as the concrete. We are required to to use a membrane as it is required by the Ontario Building Code (Canada). Any info would be great.

Try researching NEOGARD (Division of Jones-Blair)

at

It is a traffic bearing waterproofing that a client of ours has had good success with.

If the requirement for the membrane is to protect the reinforcing bars from chloride ion intrusion, sealing the concrete with a 40% silane sealer may be a more cost effective solution.
Conspec Silane 40
L & M Construction Chemicals "Aquapel Plus"
Sonoshield Penetrating Sealer 40 VOC
Vexcon Chemicals "Powerseal 40"
to name a few.

Visitor99, have a look at They're based in Montreal. We have used their parking deck membranes, and they seem to be just as good as the others, and somewhat cheaper usually.
