is there any free software that i could download from the net to import a parasolid model into abaqus.Thanks

Since parasolid is an import option for Abaqus/CAE you should probably license it. Otherwise in what format are you thinking of importing into Abaqus/CAE, i.e. are you wanting a free translator to convert parasolid into say IGES? I think the answer to your question is NO !!

I have a file with extension .X_T and i was wondering if there si a way i could import it into abaqus.Is there a way?Thanks

In Abaqus/CAE select from the menu

File -> Import -> Part

In the dialog box that then appears, set the filter to Parasolid (*.x_t*) and read in your file.
