I am using ANSA software to create a model and calculate in ABAQUS, but I have doubts about how to define a connector translator correctly, which must have an offset from -0.5 mm to +2.2 mm. Should a Damping or Elasticity be assigned, neither or both?

Each type of connector offers different kind of motion. The behavior assigned to connector is independent on its type and basically defines the effects occuring during the motion. Available behaviors include elasticity, plasticity, damping, friction, damage and so on. Thus, the choice of behavior depends on what kind of effect you expect in your particular case.

Thanks for your reply.
