PAPER SPACE VIEW?

HELLO,

I HAVE A RECTANGULAR PART THAT IS AT AN ANGLE OF 31deg. AND WHAT I NEED TO DO IS VIEW THE FLAT SURFACE (AND ONLY THE FLAT SURFACE) WITHIN PAPER SPACE SO I CAN DIMINSION THE PART. ANY IDEAS??

Dear jkelly,

You should create a viewport in paper space and activate the model in the viewport. Then enter the VP command and set the view angles for the front view in the dialog box as follow:
X Axis=31° and XY Plane=0°
or for the side view:
X Axis=121° and XY Plane=0°
If you need to set view on top as a rectangle, You should set the ucs (3P option in UCS command) on top of the part so that X and Y axes lie on the part edges and then enter the VP command. In dialog box select the option "Relative to UCS", click on "Set to view plan" button and at last click on "OK".
