Paper on critical speed 2

The Machinery's Handbook suggested a paper called 'Critical Speeds of Uniform Shafts under Axial Torque' by Golomb and Rosenberg.

Has anyone heard of this paper and know where I can get a copy??

Can anyone clarify what is meant by "axial torque"?
Would that be normal torque as transmitted through the shaft?
or would the physical problem correspond to having the two bearings misaligned which tends to bend the shaft?

I looked in my vibration textbooks and they all show examples of effect on critical speed of axial tension or compression. I saw nothing about the effect of torque.

electricpete: sorry, my daughter and I gleefully burned all of those textbooks a couple years ago. For the life of me I cannot remember the author's name of the Vibrations text. I do remember that is an ominous black text and the author had an Asian name.

Is this the idea?

Imagine a long slender shaft rotating about its long axis in a viscous liquid. The critical speed will probably be affected by the drag torque per unit length that is generated.
