Could someone please explain the difference between Metri-Pack and Weather Pack connectors? They look similar except for some small differences. They seem to be mixed in the same wiring harness.

The catalog and website do not help. I would like to understand the difference and why you would choose one or the other instead of blindly copying existing designs for a new harness. (This is for an engine management system.)
