P / V Valve Control / Check / Inspection

I have been asked by a colleague about how to inspect / check P/V valve. I have never done it so is there anyone who can help me with this?

Are you asking about a pressure / vacuum relief valve or what?

P/V valve is = PRESSURE / VACUUM VALVE...In shipbuilding industry we use the initials for pressure / vacuum valve
