Hello,

I changed a year ago from job, now at my new plant we are starting to draw P&ID's (finaly). They have selected the ISO3511 norm als there standaard but I used to work, in my former companies (chemical plants) with the ISA S5.1.
What is the most common used norm in the chemical industry for the moment.
For example I used for analytical instruments the letter A (AIC7801 for example) Here at the plant they about to use Q so (QIC7801). I thought that Q was used for quantity?

kind Regards

ISA is considered the industry standard but it is a moot point. The standard is whatever the company wants it to be.

One plant that I work with uses Q for their analyzers.
