We are currently using SW and will working on a project in which we will be needing to generate Process and Instrumentation Diagrams. I've generated process flow diagrams before as SW drawings and it is tedious. It appears the piping features available in SW Routing are rather limited so I'm wondering if it's worth continuing working on the design in SW? What's out there as an add-in or stand alone product for creating layouts and P&ID's?

I installed a trial licence of Visio, seems to be working out pretty well.

Just to throw my 2 cents in...Visio is not bad after you work with it for a while...when I started using it it seemed a little counter-intuitive...but then..it could have been just me :)

It doesn't sound crazy from MY point of view!

Going to try a free trial of the AutoCAD package here tomorrow, will report once I've fiddled a bit.
