What would be the best way to calculate the oxygen requirement in an aeration bassin ?

Does your question relate to water or wastewater?

Since you are in the water forum, it takes about 1 ppm of dissolved oxygen to oxidize 7 ppm of iron or manganese.

Thank you bimr !

My question is related to wastewater. More precisely, the wastewater comes from an anaerobic thermophilic digester. The aeration step is to stop the biogas production but we discovered few months ago that we were able to increase the digestion in the aeration bassin by supplying more oxygen. However, I'm not very familiar with wastewater calculation and I would like to get the most accurate evaluation of oxygen requirement to put in place a fine bubble system.
