(Reuters) - An unfinished overpass collapsed in the Brazilian World Cup host city of Belo Horizonte on Thursday, killing at least two people, emergency officials said.

Television images showed the front of a passenger bus crushed by the overpass, which was located about two miles (3 km) from the Mineirao Stadium where World Cup games are being played. Other vehicles were also crushed underneath the wreckage, officials said.

I concede, yours had pictures... just happened to come across it...

...difficult to tell from the early video and photos, but did the deck/box girder punch through the piers? Looks like possibly vertical rebar is exposed in a circular pattern on one photo from the deck level.

Looks like the vertical supports were not yet completed, but supported on temporary scaffolding? I make this comment based on the nearby overpass seen in the background that also appears to be under construction. Never seen it done that way...thought the usual process was to erect the pilings/supports then construct or place the bridge/overpass decks atop those supports.
