Good Day Experts!

I am seeking some advise and information regarding overlay welding using GTAW process.

I have tube T2 0.5Cr-0.5Mo with Ø38.1x6.7t welded in a membrane bar of Gr.12.
overlay welding shall proceed using GTAW process with a filler metal of ERNiCrFe-5 (HIG-370).
any procedure or sequence to prevent cracks or any risks after welding?

Thank you in advance.

Sounds like you already have a contract, a metal coating and a base metal specification, and a process specification. True?

Sometimes it is cheaper to apply a CRO on existing or new tubes, and delivery time for new tube material can be a schedule problem.
