overlapped elements

Is there a way to cycle through elements that lie on top of each other when selecting for a move/rotate... operation? I always seem to want the line thats "under" another.

How, or why, are you getting overlapping elements within a sketch? That's a big no-no and would be the first issue to resolve.

Just hover your pointer over the elements and wait for the PickQuick indicator then RMB.
(Scott - you can get multiple lines if you've copied in from another system such as AutoCad.)

like beachcomber said, hover the mouse pointer over the overlapping elements without clicking. A box will appear and list all the elements whithin reach, scroll down the list until the element you want is highlighted.

I explained my problem incorrectly.

I have a sketch with a line and arc very close to each other or on top of each other (doesn't matter which). I want to draw another line from the endpoint of the first line, not the arc. When I go to pick the first point it always picks the endpoint of the arc rather than the line element.

You see, I am not selecting any elements so quick pick, which I already knew about, doesn't work here. I am picking points to draw new elements.

I hate to compare software but Autocad had a feature for this. If you are picking snap points close to each other you could hit the tab button on the keyboard and it would cycle through the snap points of all elements close to the cursor.

Any help is appreciated.

In this case, mouse over the existing line and follow it up to the endpoint where you want to start your new line. This will highlight the existing line and make it the priority to infer relationships to.

Otherwise, just placy you line close to the endpoint and then go back and manually place your connect relationship.

Temporarily adjusting your inteli sketch options may help. I'll sometimes do this if I'm having the trouble you say. The hover, RMB should still help too, unless I'm misunderstanding.
