Does anyone known what procedures are to be followed in the repair of a damaged crane girder before installation?

There is an ASME standard ASME/ANSI B30.17 for construction/inspection/maintenance of overhead cranes. In this standard, they refer to AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code for welding procedures and welders.

I would contact a qualified crane repair service. Some of the structural materials for cranes could be heat treated low alloy steel that requires specific welding expertise.
