Overflow Weir sizing

Have a large CSTR with a fairly high concentration solids slurry (40%w/w solids). The outlet from the tank is to be a weir which overflows into a discharge box attached to the side of the tank. I need to size the weir and discharge box, but I'm not sure where to start. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I've found the modified francis formula (5-31) in perry 6th, but how does this perform for slurries? Anyone know?
