Hello,
I am pretty new to this place as well as Patran. I am using MSC Patran & Nastran to do some static analysis.

I was wondering, what are the output requests are needed for getting a free body diagram plot from Patran.

Thanks

I'm not aware of such an option.

I assume you want the body and the loads acting on it, and in this case just post your body (group) and then in loads, plot markers to see them, and make the required images.

If you mean something else, then it's news to me.

Jake.

Thanks Jake,
I was looking for the freebody from the results & not from the applied loads.

Well, I found it! I think I did :)
It is to switch on the "Grid Point Stresses & Force balance" as output requests for analysis and in results post-processing, use the "Free Body" object with the required elements of the body[you select elements for body & the result is for the nodes of the body, well everyone knows it ;)] & get the freebody diagram.

Thanks again for anyone who tried answering for this too
