Hello,

I want to make sure that I am routing the outlets for my stormwater storage chambers correctly. The chambers are to be designed to outlet to a manhole with a weir. The outlet from the chambers will be a 6" pipe which connects to the weir manhole. In the weir manhole, there will be a 4' wide, 12" tall weir (10" breadth), and the outlet from this manhole will be a 15" pipe. The routing is currently setup as follows:

15" culvert - Primary
Broad-Crested Rectangular Weir - Device 1
6" Culvert - Device 1

Thanks

If the 6" pipe discharges "upstream" of the weir, it should be going to Device 2.

If the 6" pipe discharges THROUGH the weir wall, only then would it route to Device 1 directly.

Don't overlook the device number in the # column. That's what the device routing refers to! So your original setup would be:

Device #1 = 15" culvert - Routing=Primary
Device #2 = Broad-Crested Rectangular Weir - Routing=Device 1
Device #3 = 6" Culvert - Routing = Device 1

This format provides a better explanation of the device routing. Devices 2 and 3 are both routed to device #1, the culvert, which is the final (primary) discharge from the pond.
