I'm a beginner to microstation and my question is how do u turnoff ortho?

Never mind I figured it out alread but I do have another question How do you input the angle and distance in microstation? Example in autocad it was @100<s234d12'23"w

The simplest way is to use the Accudraw dialogue box. Tapping the space key will change the box from x & y to distance and angle.

Or you can use key-in commands, although I don't recall if you can directly put in distance and angle that way.

Using the accudraw dialogue box sure is simple to use. Thanks for that tip.

I have another question, in autocad you could click on a line and it would give you all the property information, and how do u do that in microstation?

Use the element information icon, that is the "i" in a circle.

If you just want the length of the element, use the measure length in the "measure" list of icons.

There is a MDL out there called info snap that will give you general information when placing your cusor on the element in question.
Regards,
Namdac
