We have oring seal on butterfly valve disc. Flow push oring outside its groove.
there nay construction solution to solve and void this problem?

valve is used with water at max 6 bar

in the valve is generated quite hi velocity ...about 1,5 mxsec

sorry, I have no idea about this matter. But I didn't see the o-ring sealed butterfly valve on plate. Is it the structure same as tri-eccentrical one?

Henry07,
what are the current groove shape and o-ring material & section?
I believe there is a proper geometrical design and material selection capable of preventing extrusion of the seal... try also consulting o-rings Manufacturers catalogues and asking the question on the Forum819 within this site.

caihui,
I think that the valve in object is most probably a "standard" or high-performance butterfly valve (i.e. with no more than two off-sets), as the triple-offset rotary valves are usually metal seated (and then disc gasket is a metal spiral wound one).

Hope this helps, 'NGL

correct ..the valve is a double eccentric b-fly the groove shape is square on conical taper(disc sealing aarea surface) ....

tks a lot everybody got info's needed
