origin of the assembly

Hi,

is it possible to change or shift the origin poinf of the assembly in CATIA? i have tried but in vain as CATIA is only considering the origin point of the first part created within the product.Any ideas.

why do you need that?

you don't move the origin of the assembly, you move elements of the assembly.

you can multiselect them in tree and use compass to move them in one shot.

Hi,
Thanks for your replies. when i copy a set of files from other assy into the present assy and try creating a new part its created some where else and not in the exact vcs.i am not able to control this.ok any way let me chk it and get back to you more clearly on this.
