I am going to perform an optimisation study of a shrink-fit joint in promechanica. The geometry of the joint is somewhat complex, as the inner shaft of the joint presses against a mantel that consists of two concentric mantels which contains a cooling chanel. The goal of the optimisation study is to maximise the available cooling chanel area while keeping the stress in the mantel below the yield limit.

Is this achievable with promechanica? I have used promechanica around year 2000, when we used it for dimensioning of simple parts, but we were never able to perform analysis of assemblies... So I hope that there has been some development over the years!
