Hello everyone.

Does anyone know where to find operational data of any existing aMDEA and Benfield plant? The data of interest is absorber and stripper temperature, column diameter and heigh and [CO2] and [H2S]

Thanks

Hi again.

Feed flow, Liquid flow and pressure is also of interest and the CO2 H2S concentrations of both feed and outlet

Hi zznook

Check the Bryan Research and Engineering websiter. ( and go to the technical papers section. There they have given data for some commercial units.

Ofcourse, you wont find column diameter etc there. but you can calculate them using correlations available in literature or using commercial simulators if you are able to simulate any unit there.

Best wishes
Prashnat

Znook,
CO2 removal units that utilises aMDEA and Benfield are available in LNG and ammonia plants.
